The food was amazing. The bread that they bring out was crispy and soft on the inside. The water we got to drink was cold and wet, just how I like it!! My girlfriends chicken parm she said was "bangin'". I got the side of broccoli raab and couldn't put my fork down, it is was cooked perfectly!! I also had the artichoke and it was soooooo good!!! The waiter Ken was very nice! We will definitely be back!!! Plus Charles Barkley eats here all the time including tonight!! So cool that we have the same taste as someone with money. ;) ...but really, he eats here a lot. The only reason I give it 4/5*s is because I didn't like the atmosphere. It was very plain, for such good food and pretty high prices I was surprise at the lack of decor and ambience.

I've only been here once but my experience was great. I ordered the gnocchi with spinach that may be some of the best gnocchi I've had in a long time. My fiancé got chicken parm which was just okay. But even the bread and the salad were delicious. The atmosphere is nice, low lighting and you feel like you're in a fancy Italian restaurant. Our waiter was also great - I believe his name was Flor'jam. He was very courteous and attentive. I see other people had bad experiences here but this was my first time here and everything was great. Who knows how the second time would be!

Pretty dreadful especially compared to the other PA casino restaurants I have been to. Appetizers we had (lobster ravioli and tuna carpaccio) weren't bad but the entrees were horrible. Not-so-fresh pasta, marinara sauce with no flavor, an overcooked piece of sea bass on tasteless potato puree, and a mushroom risotto entree that might have been the worst risotto I have ever tasted dining out. It was a warm dish of no-taste mush with mushrooms in it. My advice is that you stick to appetizers in the bar area instead which has food service and is very generous with the liquor. Avoid the Viviano restaurant.

Kevin and I found ourselves in the area when we had a Sunday off and wanted to go to Valley Forge to see the Encampment. Low and behold we see the conference center is now a casino and where there is a casino, there should be food. We were starving (we had missed lunch) and were seated at 5:00 pm by a very nice hostess. The waitress gave us several menus, including the Sunday Prefix, Family Style menu. If you are there on a Sunday, you must get the family style! It was not only very affordable (down right reasonable actually) but delicious! We had 4 courses and all were amazing, including the dessert. After dinner we ventured into the casino (after signing up) and had a fun time for about an hour before heading home. If you are in the area, Vivano's is worth a visit and so is the casino. :)

Decided to go traditional Italian. The other reviews are pretty spot on. The food is fantastic, service and atmosphere is lacking. As for my spaghetti and meatballs, It was good. Portions were HUGE as were the 3 meatballs. Spaghetti was cooked aldenti but a little on the soft side. Sauce was a northern italian version, not as "sweet" as I usually like but texture and tast was good. If your in the area... give it a try.

If I could I would give this place a 2 1/2 starts. Our waiter Ken was good, kept my water glass full all night. The wine list was ok, nothing that really caught my eye, so we just stuck with water. They had bread and oil, something I typically love...but it was plain...no added flavors, fresh herbs, or cheeses...kinda zzzzz..zzzz...zzz of the two types of bread offered one was good, the other not so much. For dinner I had the scallops, they were amazing, big and cooked exactly how l like them. They came with a side of pasta, I had to ask for, as it was not brought out, it was pasta with red sauce, nothing to get excited about not what I thought it would have been as this seemed to be an upscale place. My friend got the seafood pasta and it was packed with shrimp, big scallops, clams, muscles, fish, she really enjoyed it. One thing I did notice over the course of dinner was the poor choice of uniform for the hostesses. These poor girls had SHORT dresses on, so short that they were constantly pulling them down all night, it was easy too see that they were uncomfortable. I know it's in a casino but employes shouldn't have to have a constant battle with their uniforms. In conclusion, scallops and seafood were a 5, service a low 3, and the rest a 1.

I really enjoy this restaurant. I get comped from the casino and have gone three times already. Food is very good..I've had steak, scallops, ciappino and all was tasty and high quality. The service is also very good. My only complaint is that sometimes its too cold and when I ordered the antipasto, it wasn't what I expected. Desserts are good as well.

My husband and I love Italian restaurants and had been looking forward to visiting Viviano, so we took advantage of the "Two Tastes for One" promotion of buy one/get one advertised at either Pacific Prime (which we had already visited) or Viviano. When we got there, we were given a menu for Pacific Prime and told that we could order off the regular Italian menu, but that wasn't included in the promotion. The food was mediocre, and even though our waiter tried very hard, he wasn't aware of a posted wine promotion. At the entrance to the restaurant was a large poster stating they had 24 wines under $35 and many wines by the glass for $14 and under. The wine list he brought us had NO wines under $35 and no one he spoke with knew anything about it. He and I took a picture of the poster when we left to prove it existed. This was a bad experience from beginning to end and the food wasn't worth it!

Porcini Ravioli with Truffle Cream = to-die-for! Great atmosphere and really attentive, friendly service. Wines by the glass were big selection and manager came over and made a great selection. Would definitely go back again.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
